Notarial Services Attorney · Lawyers Council of Thailand

Documents that hold weight, anywhere in the world

Thailand has no notary public office — only lawyers licensed by the Lawyers Council of Thailand as Notarial Services Attorneys may authenticate signatures, certify copies, and administer oaths so that your documents are accepted abroad.

Why an NSA-licensed firm

Certification that survives scrutiny overseas

In Thailand, notarial work may only be performed by a lawyer who has completed the Lawyers Council of Thailand's notarial training and is registered as a Notarial Services Attorney. A signature or copy certified by anyone else risks rejection at the receiving embassy, court, or institution — costing you weeks and a second trip.

Harbor & Clark handles each act end to end: we verify identity and signatures, affix the official NSA stamp, and where your document must be used abroad, guide it through onward authentication by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the destination country's embassy. One file, one point of contact, no avoidable returns.

What you need

Notarial Services — what we do and what to bring

Services we provide

  1. Signature authentication and witnessing — verifying and witnessing signatures on contracts, deeds, and declarations.
  2. Certified true copies — of passports, degrees, government-issued documents, and corporate records.
  3. Certification for use overseas — preparing documents for study, immigration, employment, or international business.
  4. Certified translations and document legalization — certifying translations and routing documents toward embassy legalization where required.

What to bring

  1. Valid government photo ID or passport of every signatory.
  2. The original document to be notarized (and a clean copy where a certified true copy is needed).
  3. Any supporting evidence the act relies on — title deeds, company registration, academic certificates, or the underlying agreement.
  4. A certified or source translation, if the document is not in the language the receiving authority requires.
  5. The full name and country of the authority or institution that will receive the document, so the correct wording and authentication path are used.
  6. For corporate signatories — company affidavit / registration and a board resolution or authority confirming signing power.
  7. All signatories present in person, as the NSA must witness the signing and verify identity directly.
