Marriage in Thailand is registered at a district office (Amphur), and for foreign nationals it follows a fixed sequence that must be completed in order. We manage every stage so you arrive at the Amphur with documents that will be accepted — and leave with a registered Thai marriage.
- The affirmation of freedom to marry from your embassy or consulate, confirming you are free to marry.
- Certified Thai translation of the affirmation and passport pages.
- Legalization of the documents through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
- Registration at the Amphur with the required witnesses, and issuance of the official Thai marriage documents (Khor.Ror. 2 and Khor.Ror 3).

03 MFA Legalization
MFA Legalization
Foreign documents — and Thai documents bound for use abroad — must usually be legalized through Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) before any authority will act on them. Legalization authenticates the signature and seal on a document and certifies the accompanying translation — the step that makes a document officially recognised within the Thai system.
- Identifying which documents require legalisation and in what order.
- Certified translation into Thai or English, as the Ministry requires.
- Submission to the MFA's Legalization Division for authentication of signatures, seals, and the translation.
- Managing the certification chain — embassy or issuing authority, translation, then MFA — so each layer is accepted.

04 Certified Translation
Certified Translation
Official and legal documents submitted to a Thai authority must generally be in Thai, accompanied by a certified translation; documents bound for use abroad often require certified English. We provide certified Thai–English translation of legal and official documents, prepared to the standard each receiving authority requires.
- Certified translation of personal documents — birth, marriage and divorce certificates, passports.
- Translation of legal and official documents — wills, agreements, powers of attorney, company and court documents.
